Wiser Woman Wednesday

Celebrating Small Victories

I recently realized that I never celebrated myself, not even the small victories. I was so busy managing life as a single mother that I didn’t take the time to acknowledge the small wins. I operated in a state of burnout. When you don’t take time to recognize even the small victories, you may find yourself feeling miserable. This misery can permeate every area of your life, leading to decreased motivation, increased stress, and reduced job satisfaction. You risk burning yourself out and missing the opportunity to reflect on what’s working well and what could be improved, which is crucial for both personal and professional growth.

Brown Sugar Lemonade: Celebrate each small victory on your journey. Be faithful in the small wins and the small opportunities. Recognize the progress you make and give thanks for the steps forward, knowing that each one brings you closer to your goals.

Celebrating small wins, and recognition of progress, even in small ways, can make a significant difference in overall well-being and effectiveness, while allowing you to enjoy living in the moment.

Scripture: Zechariah 4:10

“Do Not Despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand”. (NLT version).

Prayer: God, help me to celebrate each small victory and to be grateful for the progress I make in my journey.
